3 Stage: Round-Robin6/SElim bo3/bo5 finals SC2 v1.1

In terms of the Starcraft 2 tournament it will be broken down into stages.


If you are not present for the beginning of a match you will forfeit the tournament; we will not wait for you, this is why we have a schedule


Stage 1:

There will be no breaks during Stage 1, your first break will occur after your 5th game in Stage 1. Please prepare yourself in advance for this.

Entrants will be broken down into groups of 6. Each group of 6 will face off in a round-robin format series. The top 2 entrants from each group of 6 will proceed to Stage 2. If the number of entrants in this stage is not divisible by 6 what the extra entrants will do will be based on how many there are. If there are 3 OR LESS extra entrants the top ranked entrants (based on ladder ranking) will be swapped into these extra slots and get a buy into Stage 2. If there are 4 OR MORE extra entrants the group will play in a round-robin format series, again with the top 2 entrants proceeding to Stage 2. Map picks will be agreed upon by both entrants at this stage, if no map is agreed upon it will be chosen at random by a tournament administrator.

After your final game from Stage 1 you will be allowed a break, Stage 2 will begin at a predetermined time. Your break will vary depending on when you complete Stage 1.


Stage 2:

There will be brief breaks between matches, we do not allow breaks during a match. If you are not ready to complete your match series, you will forfeit the tournament. Administrators may overrule this if extrenuating circumstances arise.

The remaining entrants will face off in a single-elimination tournament bracket, each match will consists of a bo3 series. To clarify, when you face an entrant in this stage you will play against them in a bo3 (Best Of 3) series. The maps will be determined when you are matched up. First pick will be determined by a coin toss (or equivalent), and then picks will alternate. To clarify, the coin toss winner gets pick, then the other entrant picks the second map, then the coin toss winner picks the third map.

This bracket will continue until we have 2 entrants left, they shall proceed to Stage 3.

Once Stage 2 is complete we will play one bo3 series match for 3rd and 4th place.


Stage 3:

There will be a maximum of 15 minute break between the 3rd/4th place match and the Finalist series. This break is meant for a bathroom/snack break. If both finalists agree to waive the break early the match will proceed. This stage may start earlier than scheduled.

The finalists will face-off in a Bo5 (Best Of 5) series. Each entrant will be able to veto 1 map. First pick will be determined by a coin toss (or equivalent). Picks hereafter shall be chosen by the loser of the previous game.


Rules:

-If a player disconnects within the first 2 minutes of a match, that match will be restarted on a different map, both players must agree to the new map
-If a player disconnects a second time during a match within the first 2 minutes of any additional attempts, they will forfeit the current match
-If a player disconnects 2 minutes or later into the match they will receive a loss. The exception to this is if they have significant advantage, at which point an admin makes a judgement call, potentially resulting in a rematch on a different map
-If you are not present for the beginning of a match you will forfeit the tournament; we will not wait for you, this is why we have a schedule
-All players will show professional courtesy to one another

All matches will be performed through Blizzard's Battle.net service

CHEATS AND/OR HACKS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED DURING TOURNAMENT PLAY. IF A PLAYER IS FOUND TO USE ANY FORM OF HACK OR CHEAT DURING A TOURNAMENT MATCH THEY WILL NOT ONLY FORFEIT THE TOURNAMENT THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EVENT WITHOUT REFUND. WE KNOW MAP HACKS AND DISCONNECT HACKS EXIST, DO NOT USE THEM.
