DotA 2: Double Elimination 5v5

In terms of the DotA 2 tournament the format used will be Double Elimination.

Rules:

• Teams will consist of 5 players
• Matches may only be paused if a player crashes or disconnects
• Matches may not be unpaused until the correct player has re-connected and finished loading
• If all players experience a server disconnect, the Lobby will be re-created with the most recent relevant save, if no usable save is available Tournament Administration must make a judgement call
• It is prohibited to send a player to a spot on the map they cannot reasonably escape from, such as the edge of the map
• Sides will be determined by a coin-toss or equivalent performed by a Tournament Administrator
• Teams may request a break between matches of no longer than 10 minutes
• Teams are expected to be on-time for their matches and may be disqualified without refund if they are grossly absent
• ALL TEAMS are expected to be present for their first match at the scheduled time, absent teams will be disqualified without refund
• All players are expected to show professional courtesy, punishment for breach of this rule may result in disqualification of the offending team without refund
• No cheats, hacks, or external tools are allowed, if a player is proven to cheat during a tournament their team will be disqualified without refund
